Tommy Hansen , A Swedish social documentary photographer primarily focusing on two main areas within the frame of documentary depicting, the conditions and cultural traditions in different ethnic groups and the humanitarian perspective of conflicts, oppression and abuse. What distinguishes him in his way of working is how he interacts with the people he portrays. He is close and present and genuinely interested in taking part of the people's lives, their stories and testimonies. He is convinced that if he does not understand or realize, he has not been close enough long enough. The result is photographs and depictions that are characterized by human warmth, presence and descriptive details.

He took his first pictures in the early teens and has been dedicated to documentary photography for the last fifteen years. His focus and passion is for long-term documentary projects.
